Even though it predates the short story by Bruce Bethke that first coined the term by a year, the original Tron definitely fits into the “cyberpunk” sub-genre of sci-fi that has spawned such modern classics as Akira and The Matrix trilogy.

New Tron: Legacy Concept Art Reveals Futurisitc Cityscapes and More
Even though it predates the short story by Bruce Bethke that first coined the term by a year, the original Tron definitely fits into the “cyberpunk” sub-genre of sci-fi that has spawned such modern classics as Akira and The Matrix trilogy. While many casual viewers associate Tron with shiny costumes and clunky video game graphics, fans of cyberpunk are able to see the anti-corporate message and hacker-as-hero mentality at the heart of the movie, themes which are also clearly present in the sequel, director Joseph Kosinski ‘s Tron: Legacy .

Sony Pictures Classics has released a new Red Band international trailer for director Atom Egoyan ‘s ( Adoration ) erotic thriller, Chloe , starring Julianne Moore and Liam Neeson . A remake of the French film Nathalie , Chloe tells the story of a married woman (Moore) who suspects her husband (Neeson) of infidelity and hires a prostitute (played by Amanda Seyfried ) to confirm her suspicions, ultimately putting her entire family at risk.
